Apple’s smartwatches are unsurprisingly among some of the more expensive wearables on the market, as seen with the likes of the new Watch Ultra 3. That in mind, Apple fans looking for a more affordable alternative might instead want to go with the third-generation Watch SE, which comes with some new tricks while keeping prices low.

The most important bullet point in the SE 3’s specs sheet is its $249 price tag, which is considerably more affordable when compared to the 800-dollar pricing on the Watch Ultra 3. It does come with some new components this time around, such as the S10 processor as well as support for Heart Rate and Wrist Temperature Sensing, enhanced Sleep Score and a new Sleep Apnea Detection feature.
In terms of design, not much has changed with this generation, although Apple adds that the SE 3’s display is now four times more scratch-resistant. While it also features considerably thicker bezels in comparison to other Apple Watch models, one can be certain that the lower price is the main selling point here, giving buyers access to Apple’s software ecosystem for not much cash.
